Best Electronic Cigarette was inspired by my decision to quit smoking by switching to electronic cigarettes for its health and cost benefits. In doing so, it’s become my hobby to find out what the best e-cigarette is on the market and be up to date on the latest information regarding e-cigarettes. I thought I’d share my hobby with the rest of the world, and decided that Best Electronic Cigarette would be an appropriate name for my site.

Is it a 3-piece or 2-Piece Model?
The best electronic cigarette must have a 2-piece model. 3-piece e-cigarettes contain the cartridge, atomizer, and battery. However, the cartridge and atomizer are combined into a single unit (cartromizer) in a 2-piece e-cigarette, which is desirable because you get a new atomizer every time you replace your cartridges! In a 3-piece, the cartridges are more difficult to open and may leak some of the liquid nicotine. A 2-piece set guarantees a fresh atomizer in each cartridge with no leaking liquid nicotine.
Throat Hit
The more vapor, the better! A great throat hit means the e-cigarette produces a volume of smoke greater than or equal to a real cigarette. This indicates that the atomizer of the e-cigarette is high quality, since it is responsible for vapor volume. Similarly, a good atomizer will allow you to easily suck the mouthpiece to create vapor, like a real cigarette. I definitely believe that the best electronic cigarette should have an exceptional throat hit.
Taste and Flavor Variety
The best e-cigarette should taste like a real cigarette and have a variety of flavors. Since you want to build a preference and get comfortable with specific e-cigarettes for their taste and variety of flavors, I recommend to either ask some friends to try their e-cigarettes, or read our product reviews to make an informed decision. Taste is a very subjective criteria, so it is up to you to use your best judgement.
Nicotine Level Variety
High quality electronic cigarettes often allow you to choose varying nicotine levels to suit your needs. Another advantage of electronic cigarettes is the being able to choose nicotine levels, which is great if you are trying to quit. Basically, you can use e-cigarettes to emulate a real smoking experience, as the social aspects, physical craving, and muscle memory are virtually the same. However, you could also decrease the amount of nicotine you consume gradually. Did you know they also make cartridges with flavor only and no nicotine? You should make sure your vendor offers varying nicotine levels for their cartridges, and especially no nicotine if you’re trying to quit.

Battery Life/Chargers
Battery life is not really much of a problem, as many vendors’ battery lives are great. However, some are horrible and die more quickly than others, so I advise you again to ask a friend or read our reviews. As for the chargers, it is up to your preference since they come with varying types such as USB, A/C, and car chargers. For example, you might like the USB charger if you’re constantly around a computer. The best electronic cigarette should definitely have great battery life and various chargers.
Cartridge Cost
A Cartridge is the component of an e-cigarette that resembles a filter of a traditional cigarette. Cartridges contain a liquid solution of nicotine and flavor, which is the backbone of an electronic cigarette. Cartridges can be comparable to ink cartridges: you will eventually have to replace empty cartridges with new ones, which will cost more than the printer itself in the long run. Therefore, you should browse through the cartridge costs of several vendors to get an idea what a good price is. It is important to do this, as finding good, cheap cartridges will save you a lot of money. That’s why the best e-cigarette should provide premium cartridges at the best prices.
Starter Kit Cost and Contents
Although not as important as cartridge cost, the amount of money you invest on your first electronic cigarette starter kit should definitely be considered. You are going to be stuck with whichever starter kit you invest your money into, as cartridges typically only work for its intended brand.
After you find vendors with good quality and cartridge costs, you should compare individual starter kit prices and their contents to see which offers the best deal. Also make sure your vendor offers a full 30 day money back guarantee, as they all should! The best e-cigarette should provide many accessories to help you get started.
Shipping Speed and Customer Service
The faster the better! E-cigarette companies vary in their shipping speeds, but usually deliver within 3-5 business days maximum. If you live in the USA, it is obviously preferable to purchase e-cigarettes from an American vendor because their shipping speed and customer service will most likely be better. Most vendors have excellent customer service and shipping speeds, but I’ll make sure to point out the ones that do not in our reviews.
